Surfing England joins as campaign partner

28 partner organisations now stand behind the bill.

The Water Bill returns to the Commons for its second reading. Three amendments are expected from backbench MPs across all parties, and the whip count is still moving daily.

What's actually changing

The bill puts hard caps on how many hours each storm overflow can discharge in a year, forces independent quarterly audits with the results published, and uplifts the fines — ring-fencing the money for clean-up rather than the Treasury.

If this passes with the spill cap intact, it's the biggest shift in water regulation in thirty years.

What we need from you

The single most useful thing right now is an email from your constituency. MPs count the inbox — twelve emails from one postcode reads, in their office, as a campaign, and a campaign is harder to ignore.

Now email your MP about it
